We Build Strong Kids, Strong Families, Strong Communities
Healthy Kids Day
Each spring, the YMCA strives to build community awareness of physical inactivity and obesity among youth throughout the country. Dedicating a day to emphasize the importance of play in a child’s life, and healthy living habits, the YMCA celebrates “healthy kids.”
Bright Beginnings
Each year hundreds of youth in our community begin school without the essential items needed to help build self esteem, and self confidence. The YMCA Bright Beginnings program links these youth with caring contributors and volunteers who provide these vital items that assist in the foundation for better attendance, academic achievement, and success.
Angel Tree
The greatest gift to the world was the gift of Jesus Christ. Celebrating the spirit of the principles of Christianity, each year the YMCA links caring contributors (our YMCA Angels) to youth put at risk to ensure that the best Christmas is given to every child.
