SUMMER SCHEDULE:

Friday JUNE 22 at 4:30pm - 7pm
Friday July 20 at 4:30pm - 7pm

This year, and every year, the entire YMCA of Central Virginia participated in Angel Tree, a program intended to provide a more cheerful Christmas to deserving individuals. Whether it was gift given to a child, or an entire Christmas complete with the holiday feast donated to a family, the Angel Tree at our YMCAs has proven to be a symbol of giving during the holiday season.

Together we provided Christmas cheer to over 250 individuals. Thank you to all who contributed and volunteered to help support the Angel Tree and make it possible to provide these services to the community.

Help youth develop a positive sense of self
Build character
Recognize and promote excellence

Give A "Bright Beginning" for the New School Year

The YMCA Bright Beginnings program helps approximately 500 children with new school supplies and a book bag to help children in-need start the year with confidence for success. Volunteer opportunities include shopping, making a cash donation to purchase basic school supplies and new book bags. Older teens may volunteer with their parent to help shop with a child. Families with children may volunteer to help stuff book bags with school supplies.
