Each year, the YMCA raises funds to provide financial assistance for its youth programs through the Annual Giving Campaign. Through the We Build People Annual Giving Campaign, the YMCA:
> subsidizes the cost of child care so a single parent can go to work knowing his or her child is in a safe and educational environment,
> enables children to attend summer camp where they develop a stronger self-esteem,
> provides swim lessons in order to keep them safe in and around many areas of water.
> allows children to participate in youth sports where they learn cooperation and sportsmanship.
